One of my on and off again Drupal projects is a food information database, built mostly around whatever the current government official database is. These days that is the USDA FNDDS, or Food and Nutrient Database for Dietary Studies.
I myself probably should have looked for one of these before I made this one; it's a .desktop file for gksudo that gives you access to it from the GUI in non-incidental ways. Below the break you'll find the text, which is not very long.

As I now own a Magellan Maestro 4050, which unlike my 4250 has bluetooth and a headphone jack, I decided to upgrade the software. After hunting around a little I found Miopocket 4.0, a complete shell replacement for WinCE 4.x through 6.x GPS devices including smartphones with touch. It implements an iPhone-like interface and provides dozens of utilities, apps, and games.
Let me follow up my inflammatory title with all due respect for CVS and what it has brought us, besides a thousand years of pain. Who knows how many man-hours were saved by CVS? Of course, there is always the argument about how many man-hours have been lost due to it as well, but then again we all know the importance of proper backups... especially when dealing with source code control systems. While CVS is one of the oldest, its legacy of suggesting it will do one thing and will do another is probably its most-emulated feature, so it is by no means unique in that regard.
