CSS or "Cascading Style Sheets" is a method of styling and decorating HTML documents in a way that is intended to separate content from presentation. This is not entirely successful but does permit much more complicated web pages than HTML alone. The CSS DOM (Document Object Model) can be manipulated from JavaScript in order to make highly dynamic web pages.

Stu Nicholls is my hero today; he created a simple, working CSS fluid drop shadow. I literally tried six other drop shadows before I found his, which worked without additional freaking out in my drupal theme.

I've been fighting for some time to come up with a layout that really genuinely works. I want to use CSS and end up doing strict XHTML, so I'm working towards that end mostly by trying to eliminate all tables.
