These Sennheiser headphones which came out in the 1980s have long since been superseded (originally by the 420SLs) but are still good headphones. They are extremely light in weight for their size (129 grams plus the cable.) They are extremely cool and comfortable to wear while giving quite acceptable sounds, but unfortunately these on-the-ear (as opposed to over-the-ear) headphones have no direct descendant from Sennheiser today. These are high-resistance (600 ohm) headphones designed to take amplifier power, with 18Hz to 20kHz response, >94 dB response and less than 1% distortion. They were about $65 back in the eighties (or about a $120 set today) but I scored them at an estate sale for $1 the other week. They seem to come with a foam pad, but mine look to have a sort of furry replacement instead.
