Slashdot, a nerd news aggregator and argument site, has a Nazi problem - and it's the owners.
Slashdot has been sold a couple of times, and the company that owns it now, BizX, has repeatedly made changes which shelter Nazis.
The latest change, which is something they've done before, is putting the word "reich" in the post word filter. Known as the "lameness filter", this is a list of key words and patterns which cause your comment to be rejected by the system until you modify it. And in a recent post, I had to change just one word by one character to dodge the filter: I changed "Reich" to "Re!ch".
In the past, Slashdot has also put the word "Nazi" in the word filter.
The only purpose for the inclusion of these terms in the word filter is to prevent people from pointing out when people or organizations are behaving in a manner similar to Nazis.
BizX is a cryptocurrency services platform. Their purpose is to help to enable cryptocurrency scams, because that is the purpose of all cryptocurrency businesses. By sheltering Nazis, they are supporting Trump, who supports crypto scams.
BizX are functionally Nazis.
