Speed Quarters

Game Type:
Boot Factor:

This one is said to be more fun than the original game. This one doesn't allow for those certain people to concentrate for half-an-hour while everyone else gets bored. The cardinal rule in this game is - you snooze, you lose! Supplies: people, beer, a shallow glass, and two quarters.

Situate everyone in a circle. Give the two quarters to two people opposite each other in the circle (or as opposite as possible). Then, say "GO!" and the two people try to bounce their quarters into the same glass. They get as many tries as it takes and can take as long as they want...BUT when one does make it in, that person passes his/her quarter to the person on their left. Then this person must bounce the quarter in. This goes on until a person gets passed a quarter when s/he already has a quarter. This person then must drink some beer, you choose the amount.

Sometimes, depending on the number of people playing, it's better to play with two glasses. Then both the quarter and glass get passed after a successful attempt.

Editor's note: The second submission was the same thing, but this person submitted additional rules.

Additional rules:
A person may call reverse before he/she starts bouncing quarters, the person must then get two quarters in the cup (not in a row) the direction that cup is passed is then reversed. This is how you screw people in the game. If a person bounces a quarter off the table, they must drink before they may continue bouncing.

Editor's note: More optional rules.

Subject: Drinking Games: Speed Quarters

The players form a circle around a bar or table. You place the empty cup and your beer on the table. When everyone is ready one person says go. You try to bounce the quarter into the empty cup. If you make the quarter into the cup you pass your cup to the person on your left. If that person has already passed his cup he must now make the quarter into your cup. Remember, it's a circle so every one must make their quarters. If that person hasn't made the quarter into his cup you jam your cup into his cup, he loses that round and must chug his entire beer.(or half a beer for inexperienced players) The other rule is if your quarter goes into any cup containing beer you must chug all of your own beer. (no exceptions!) A word of caution. If you have never played before and some people ask you to play find out if the others are experienced. If they are play a different game!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be in for a very, very, long night most of which you won't remember!!!!!!!
